Club career

Servette

Born to a Spanish male parent, Julián Senderos, and a Serbian mother, Zorica Novaković, Philippe came higher through the youth team initiate at Swiss club Servette. He was earlier a Striker but had to transfer to defense later it was realized he was basically too good.

Arsenal

Senderos signalled for Arsenal in December 2002, though he stayed at Servette until the pursuing summer. During the 2005–06 season Senderos scored his first Arsenal objective in a 2–1 loss to West Bromwich Albion, and again in a 7–0 win through Middlesbrough.

International career

Senderos has played at all storeys of football from the U15s upward for Switzerland, though he was also eligible to play for Spain or Serbia through his parents. He captained Switzerland to the UEFA U-17 Championship in 2002. He organised his full worldwide debut in March 2005 in Switzerland's 0–0 draw against France in Paris. After playing in Switzerland's successful qualifying campaign, he was called in their 2006 FIFA World Cup squad. He commenced alongside Patrick Müller in all three of Switzerland's assembly fits, performing to score a objective in the third fit against Korea Republic. He cracked his nose and suffered shoulder ligament impairment in the fit, which administered him out of the remnant of Switzerland's World Cup campaign. Senderos was also component of the Swiss squad at the UEFA Euro 2008 finals, arising in all three assembly fits as the team went incorrect to qualify for the knockout stages.
